Carla Bailey, Founder of Special Ties, LLC, an organization to provide services for parents and caregivers of special needs children. Carla established Special Ties when she discovered there were very limited services available to assist her with her daughter Amber, who has cerebral palsy.  The aim of Special Ties was to spread the message of acceptance and inclusion of people with physical disabilities into the mainstream of society. Carla devoted her life to the rights of special needs children, by having her daughter, Amber mainstreamed into social events and activities, which are not always seen with children in wheel chairs.

Carla was looking forward to launching innovative, yet adaptable clothing designs for children in wheel chairs.  The name she decided for this line of clothing was “AmberWare”.

Carla also highlighted the importance of caring for children with disabilities as a songstress utilizing her vocal talents. The song Special Ties is an example of the passion and the gifted vocal talents of Carla Bailey along with her twin-sister, Carolyn Williams Francis.

Additionally, several books were written by CarlaGod’s Greatest GiftThis Road I TraveledA Horse Named Peanut , and The Empty Bag.
